Transmaterials article in Metropolis M
Bi-monthly magazine about contemporary art Metropolis M released their April & May edition which, in a surprisingly progressive move, is all about the interaction between elementary matter and our accelerating world in the context of art and aesthetics.
In January, Loes van Beuningen (one of their writers) attended our event Coded Matter(s) #3: Transmaterials and did a very lucid write-up about the evening and the points discussed by our speakers concerning the implications and problems surrounding the term ‘transmaterial’. The article also touches on the new developments in art practice and aesthetics as influenced by the new materials and the algorithms with which they are created or moulded.
We posted some pictures of the article below, but be sure to pick up the magazine itself; it’s full of interesting reviews, articles and images on this fascinating topic.
