In Focus: Michiel de Lange, LAb[au]

We are very excited to introduce you to some of the speakers for Unfolding Space, #1 of the Coded Matter(s) series. Within these events we will explore how emerging technologies transform our perception of space and create new possibilities for the production of art. These developments are reviewed and presented by a range of artists, designers and theorists with a shared interest in code and systems used in physical space. For example Michiel de Lange, Lecturer at New Media Studies, Utrecht University and co-founder of The Mobile City, a platform for the study of new media and urbanism, will talk about how media art that intersects virtual and physical space creates new experiences of the urban environment..

From Brussels LAb[au] will advance the topic of urbanism and show and tell how they use their ‘MetaDesign’ methods for the creation and experience of space via architecture, light and advanced technologies.
