Check out the Transmaterials video & save the date for CM#7
It’s been a busy year for Coded Matter(s)! After a number of events with other partners and in other venues (Transmaterials (MU, MU Eindhoven), Coding the Club (5 Days Off, Melkweg), Algorave (STEIM, OCCII)) we’re gearing up to return to where it all began for Coded Matter(s) #7: Extended Senses.
Intelligent technology grows around us and towards us as an extension of the body, both visible and invisible. The computer has migrated from lap to pocket. A wave of networked watches, glasses and implants is launched at technology trade shows and through sensors we are able to explore our environment in new ways. What are the possibilities of these new developments? And what are the dangers?
For the seventh edition of Coded Matter(s), we’ll once more host an event with and at Flemish Arts Centre de Brakke Grond in Amsterdam. During a day programme artists, designers and researchers will give us insights in those new developments, with lots of interesting installations and things to experience for yourself in the expo, interspersed with enticing talks and showcases.
More information about the speakers, exhibition and workshop programme will be announced here soon and tickets will be available shortly. Meanwhile, be sure to jot down Sunday June 1 on your calendar and click attend on Facebook to receive more updates.
Last but not least: the video report of Coded Matter(s) #3: Transmaterials by Tanja Busking is done and ready for your viewing pleasure. Head over the player on the right, hit fullscreen and enjoy.
